From the booth: what goes into an episode
Here's what goes into an episode before you ever press play.
The playlist
Every episode is twenty-six songs, picked one at a time.
The script
Then comes the script. That's everything I say between the songs, written out word for word, with the notes on every record checked before they go in.
The clip and the website
Then a release clip, made for your phone. Last comes the website side: the cover art, a bio for every new artist page, the notes on every record, and any tour dates coming up.
The website is maturing well and becoming a good source of band information for fans. I’m now also requesting that labels add me to their radio promo list so I get access to songs that are new and can also include them in my shows. That’s what this site is all about: providing exposure to bands, getting them heard, and funneling their fans back to their sites to get their music, to find concert dates, and to see how their band is doing overall.
